Description
Oscar Colifatto is an eccentric hypochondriac. He dresses in unrepentant black, hates sunlight, animals, children and the frivolous and loud streets of Miami. In fact, he hates everything except himself. He keeps the world at bay so nothing and no one can interfere with his monotonous routine as a soap-opera scriptwriter. While working on a new soap set restore him to his former glory, Natalia, the woman who has shared his life for the past six years, leaves him. His neighbor, a boisterous and brilliant self-help author and her endearing little dog; a demanding soap-opera producer and the prostitute he hires to help cure his despondency; as well as Oscar’s thirteen-year old son, all contrive to intrude in his already hindered creative process.”
